How To Send Kepserver Data To Azure IoT Using MQTT

September 2, 2019 Industrial IoT
There is one vulnerability in implementing Industrial IoT technologies.
It is the fact that, because of it being a relatively new phenomenon, you are at the mercy of technology vendors and startups.
Who are also in a state of competitive frenzy, hence they are stacking up technology on top of technology on a single platform.
Hoping that something will stick.
While you, the end consumer, bears the brunt of failed investments.
However, I believe IIoT will eventually even-out into a spectrum of tools that are all best at doing one thing. A good example is having PTC’s Kepserver handle what it has always been good at, connecting disparate devices and applications from plant control systems. While cloud platforms such as Microsoft’s Azure do what they are best at, providing powerful data exploration and analytics capabilities.
In the video below I demonstrate how to send your plant data that is already on Kepserver, to Azure IoT platform using MQTT.

THE HALF LIFE OF A LEARNED SKILL USED TO BE 30 YEARS. TODAY IT'S 5.
And it will continue to decrease exponentially. The only way to avoid becoming irrelevant is to get in the habit of reinventing yourself every single day.
